Prospectus

Welcome to the Windwhistle Primary School prospectus. We hope it provides information that will be of interest and value to all parents and carers.

Windwhistle School is proud of its academic and pastoral achievements – we support every individual child to enable them to do their best.  We are equally proud of the facilities we provide, not just for our pupils but for the whole community. We have a purpose built foundation stage unit, excellent indoor and outdoor sports facilities and have invested in our outdoor play facilities. We regularly update our computer suite and make good use of new technology in classrooms.  We also have a Pre-school Class which is popular with parents and children alike.

Windwhistle Primary School is part of the Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN)  which includes eight schools: Bournville Primary School, Locking Primary School, Milton Park Primary School, Mead Vale Primary School, Mendip Greeen Primary School, Oldmixon Primary School, Walliscote Primary School and Windwhistle Primary School.

Our Vision is Achievement by Building Confidence (ABC) and all members of the staff team work hard to develop children’s confidence and self-esteem.  We have a range of pastoral staff whose job is to support children and parents or carers who have worries at any time.

Our academic focus is to accelerate and sustain progress towards higher achievement; narrowing the gap between local and national attainment and further raise aspirations across all the learning communities which the schools serve.

We aim to improve the life chances of every pupil in the school in a wide range of carefully designed social and educational activities which are tailored to further raise aspirations and make meaningful contributions to the development of every individual pupil.

Please take the time to read through our prospectus and if you have any questions that you want to ask, feel free to contact the school and we will do what we can to help. We look forward to seeing you.

Best wishes
